Denmark – A small gem in Scandinavia

With a small population amounting to only 5.5 million inhabitants, Denmark can be seen as a small country. However even though the country is small with few inhabitants it shows wealth on culture and acceptance. Coming as a foreigner to this small country actually leaves one with quite a few interesting attractions and cultures to explore. A most for anyone who travels to this country is coming to the capital Copenhagen which itself is home to about 1 million Danes.  While being on the island Sjælland where Copenhagen is located one should definitely explore some of the other cultural treasures.  A valid impression of culture can be achieved by experiencing gastronomi in a typical Danish restaurant on Sjælland. The food here is quite different from what one would dine in the rest of Europe. Another aspect of visiting Sjælland is of course finding accommodation. Danes love camping and there are several facilities found around the island showing hospitality. If one does not like this kind of accommodation there is of course also the possibility of staying in one of the Hotels on Sjælland.

Denmark surely is a beautiful gem hidden in the center of Scandinavia. Take a chance and embrace this magnificent country.
